The event featured various fun competitions, including the Clamping Object Game, Caterpillar Solitaire Game, and Guess The Fish Weight Contest. One of the highlights was the bollard mooring contest, where the fishermen displayed impressive agility and skill. In this contest, the mooring lines were precisely thrown to secure the dolphins. CHANG, Chin-Sheng, Director-General of the Fisheries Agency, MOA, expressed his heartfelt gratitude every time he visits the Keelung District Fishermen's Association. He acknowledged that there are about 30,000 fishermen nationwide, coming from Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines, who work tirelessly at sea like family. He sincerely hopes to improve the environment, making Taiwan a second home for all the friends who contribute to the development of the fisheries industry. CHIEN, Chien-Hui, the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Keelung District Fishermen's Association, stated that they organize activities to care for foreign fishermen every year. This year, they changed the format to include fun competitions and various traditional foods from the fishermen's home countries, promoting interaction and enjoyment with foreign fishermen. Council Speaker TUNG, Tzu-Wei expressed that fisheries are a crucial industry for Keelung, and foreign fishermen play an indispensable role in the development of this sector. Without the fishermen on the front lines, there would be no glory for Keelung's or even Taiwan's fisheries today. On behalf of the Municipal Council, he extended his gratitude to the fishermen who leave their homes and spend long periods at sea. Today's fun competitions included the Human Body Clamping Object Game, Caterpillar Solitaire Game, Guess the Fish Weight Contest, and the Bollard Mooring Contest.
